The CCG is a new track and field athletic competition between cities in the United Kingdom. The competition will take place over six weekends and at the end of the competition a city will be crowned as the UK’s Champion.

Eligibility to represent a city is restricted to athletes that:

1. Are born in the City in question,
2. Have lived in the City in question for the preceding three years

If you wish to represent a city but you do not satisfy either of the above criteria then there are spaces for 6 “Wild Card” athletes to represent a City, at the discretion of the organisers, so please still apply.

All athletes that compete in the CCG will be paid.Remuneration will depend on the performance of the athlete and the level of spectator attendance. It is anticipated that if you compete and finish 8th in an event you will be paid circa £300 and if you win the event payment is expected to be circa £1,900.

If you compete for your city in the first round, semi-finals, and finals and win each time you could earn £5,700.

There is no entry fee, subscription, or travel expenses. Team transport to each Match will be provided by CCG. Athletes will be provided a free team uniform. Food and drink will be available on the day.

There are no trials, after applying to participate athletes will be selected based on historical and current performances. If you are the only applicant in your city you will be guaranteed selection.

Athletes MUST commit to being available on the three occasions that their city might be required to compete. Athletes are welcome to watch the entire competition but you are free to leave after your events are completed, so the commitment is not necessarily for an entire weekend.
